This is a trick I learned during my training to become a Life and Leadership Coach. At 10am everyday (or pick a convenient time for you, but shouldn't be too far into the day), write down three positive things that have happened so far today.
Some days this will just be: I got out of bed, I had a cup of coffee, and I enjoyed the scent of my skincare (#skincareselfcare unashamed plug!); or it might be the sun is shining, I love my kids, and I took 5 minutes to do some centering (see blog entry # 2). It doesn't matter what it is or isn't, it is just a positive, energizing habit that can have the power to change the trajectory of your day by helping your brain be on the lookout for the good rather than the bad.
