This is another activity that has been reduced for many by pandemic-driven restrictions. For those of us working from home we're missing out on the walk from the parking lot or train station to our place of work, or the quick stroll during a work break to grab a sandwich. While these might be short moments of outdoor air, and perhaps not even the freshest of air, they bring a burst of energy and a change of stimulus for our skin, lungs, eyes, and minds that shouldn't be underestimated.
Taking a walk around the block and feeling the sun or wind-chill on our skin (or both here on many winter Minnesota days!), and gulping in outdoor air not only boosts the circulation but helps our minds take on a new perspective bringing a lift in motivational energy, and sometimes even a solution to a lingering problem or a new idea.
