A powerful unlock to moving forward with goals more effortlessly is to switch the language we use. Instead of saying "I must exercise 30 minutes a day" or "I need to practice my communication skills", say "I am an active, healthy person" or "I am a great communicator". You can define yourself however you want to be, and that belief about yourself will more naturally translate into behaviors that support it. We become what we identify ourselves to be.
Another powerful technique related to this is to write an "I am ..." statement at the beginning of everyday or every week. Examples such as "I am productive", "I am motivated", "I am calm" written down somewhere visible can change the tone and outcome of our days.
Inner peace comes when we can get to a point where we recognize that just being is enough, and "I am" needs no additional definition. Something to think about!
